Dr. Avnindra Gupta

Dr. Avnindra Gupta (MBBS, MS, FRVS) is a Director at Nayan Jyoti Eye and Laser Centre in Faridabad, and Senior Consultant and Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon at the Centre for Sight, Safdarjang Enclave, New Delhi. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical studies at the prestigious Banaras Hindu University. Thereafter he completed a Fellowship in Retina & Vitreous from Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai. Subsequently Dr. Gupta joined the institution as Consultant Retina Vitreous. He was later promoted and given charge of the Department of Retina Vitreous at Aravind Eye Hospital in Tirunelveli.

Dr. Avnindra Gupta has 42 research papers to his name in national and international journals/forums. He has conducted instruction courses at AIOS, APAO and VRSI as chief instructor and has been a part of several instruction courses as a co-instructor, in conferences of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, ESCRS, APVRSI and APAO.

Dr. Gupta has trained ophthalmologists, delivered various lectures at national, state and district level conferences and CME programmes. He has presented difficult cases at various forums, and has always been at the forefront in contributing to the advancement of medical science in his areas of specialisation.

In 2014 Dr. Avnindra Gupta participated in the EURETINA Congress held in London, attended by 5,500 ophthalmologists from all over the world. EURETINA, the European Society of Retina Specialists, is one of the largest societies of retina surgeons globally. At EURETINA 2014, Dr. Gupta bagged the Best Video Award for his video titled “Mystery Unfolds”, awarded by the Society’s President Francesco Bandeaolli. This is only the second time that this award has been bestowed on an Indian ophthalmologist.

Dr. Vibha Gupta

Dr. Vibha Gupta (MBBS, MS, FAMC) is a Director at Nayan Jyoti Eye & Laser Centre, Faridabad. She has done her graduation and post-graduation from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University. Thereafter she completed a Fellowship in IOL & Phacoemulsification at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. Subsequently, she joined as a consultant and head of the IOL and Oculoplasty clinic at Aravind Eye Hospital Tirunelveli.

Dr. Vibha Gupta has performed over 15,000 cataract surgeries, and also trained ophthalmology students in surgical skills. She was “trainer of the trainee” at Aravind Eye Hospital in Tirunelveli. Under this programme she trained 98 national and international ophthalmologists in the art of cataract surgery She also specialises in the field of paediatric cataract and oculoplasty. She has also made presentations at various forums, in relation to skill development.

Dr. Vibha Gupta is available for consultation at Nayan Jyoti Eye & Laser Centre from 10 am to 1 pm Mon through Fri, and from 5-8 pm on Wed.
